Installation

  1. Install and activate the plugin.

    In WordPress, go to Plugins → Add New, search for RealMCP and click Install Now, then Activate.

  2. Log in as the user the AI will act as.

    The AI acts with this user’s permissions. The page tools need a user who can edit pages, such as an Editor or an Administrator.

  3. Create an Application Password.

    Go to Users → Profile → Application Passwords, type a name (for example “Claude Code”) and click Add New Application Password. Copy the password: WordPress shows it only once.

  4. Install Node.js 22 or later on the computer where your AI client runs. Check it with:

    Terminal window
    node --version
